Studies at the University of California, San Francisco by Dr. Kristine Yaffe, professor of psychiatry, neurology, and epidemiology, show that females over 65 with sleep apnea are two times more likely to be diagnosed with dementia in the next 5 years than those who do not suffer from sleep apnea.
